Ownlock terms of use
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Ownlock is made by Calvin Holloway, an independent developer in the UK.
The licence
- On the App Store, Ownlock is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
- On Google Play, the same terms apply, with the developer of Ownlock in Apple's place, together with the Google Play Terms of Service.
Upgrades and subscriptions
- On the free plan you can add up to 50 items. You can always view, export and delete everything you've stored, whether you've paid or not.
- Ownlock Unlimited, yearly is a subscription that renews automatically each year at the price shown in the app until you cancel it. On the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current year to stop the next renewal; manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. On Google Play, manage or cancel it in Google Play's Subscriptions.
- Ownlock Unlimited, lifetime is a one-time purchase.
- Apple or Google takes the payment, and refunds are handled by them under their own rules.
Your vault is yours to look after
Ownlock keeps your vault on your phone only. We have no copy and can't reset your pattern or your recovery phrase. If you lose both, nobody can open the vault, including us. How backups work on each phone is explained in the privacy policy: https://ownlockapp.com/privacy/
